Workplace learning programs form part of the NSW secondary curriculum. They enable students to spend a planned period of time – usually a week – in the workplace, gaining practical experience, assisting their career planning and building their industry skills.
COVID-19 Vaccination is required to work in a number of industries. Students need to meet NSW Health Orders vaccination requirements to undertake work placement or an SBAT in such industries. Work placement is mandatory for most VET courses to provide credit towards the HSC.
